Small acts of kindness can make a big difference
At North East Dementia Care, we rely on the kindness, generosity, and support of our community to continue providing vital services for people living with dementia and their families across Sunderland. There are many meaningful ways you can make a difference.
Make a Donation
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us provide stimulating activities, specialist support, and a safe, welcoming environment for our members. Your contribution directly supports local people who rely on our services each day.
Funeral Donations or Donations in Lieu of Flowers
Many families choose to support North East Dementia Care in memory of a loved one. Donations made in lieu of flowers are a meaningful way to honour someone’s life while helping others affected by dementia. We are deeply grateful for these thoughtful tributes, which allow a loved one’s legacy to continue supporting the local community.

If you would like to arrange funeral collections or discuss how to make this process as simple as possible, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
Volunteer With Us
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Whether you can give a few hours a week or support us at events, your time and compassion can make a real difference in someone’s life.
Fundraise for Us
From coffee mornings and sponsored walks to community events and workplace challenges, fundraising helps us continue and expand our services. We would love to support you in organising your own event.
Partner With Us
Local businesses can support us through sponsorship, fundraising partnerships, or by choosing us as their Charity of the Year. Working together strengthens our community and helps us reach more families in need.
Spread the Word
Raising awareness about dementia and the support available locally is incredibly important. Sharing our message with friends, family, and colleagues helps ensure no one feels alone.
